Ruth-Ann E. Toups

Ruth-Ann has always had a passion for planning and working with people to create solutions. She enjoys helping families navigate the maze of legal options to find a sense of security and peace of mind. After working for another law firm, Ruth-Ann founded The Toups Law Firm in response to needs she saw in the community. There is a strong need to make estate planning services more accessible to those who need them. Ruth-Ann works with clients to make estate planning work for them.

Ruth-Ann is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation. Of the over 100,000 attorneys in Texas fewer than 30 have earned the CELA designation indicating a true level of expertise in Elder Law. She serves as a board member of the Texas Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Ruth-Ann has been recognized by Houstonia Magazine as one of Houston’s Top Lawyers three times.

Ruth-Ann lives in Spring, Texas with her husband, Nick, their daughter Lillian, their two dogs, and cat. In her rare moments of free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and exercising.
